• What is the scope and purpose of the App?
    • We LOVE what we do, so have created the App so you can browse through our photos and get inspired! We’ve included the list of “Ingredients” so you can copy the combination if you like.
  • Why is the picture sideways on my device?
    • Our App has to be formatted specifically for every device (and you know how often new devices come out !) If you are experiencing this or any other “bad” view, please send us an email so we can get it fixed. Please include the exact device you are using (which version).
  • I’m getting an error when it is supposed to be displaying a picture. What is wrong?
    • The program may cause an error if you have too many programs open at the same time. Refreshing your screen will sometimes clear the error. If it doesn’t, then close some of your other programs  and try again.
  • If I see the same picture pop up a 2nd time, does that mean I’ve seen everything that fits my criteria?
    • Not necessarily. It’s truly random, so you may not see everything until you have gone through the App many times.
  • What do Thriller, Filler, and Spiller mean?
    • Basically, they are terms that garden enthusiasts have come up with so they can talk about their container creations. They define the role of the plant in the container. A “Thriller” is usually the main plant in the pot, the “Fillers” fill in the area around the Thriller, and the Spillers hang over the edge of the pot. Don’t get too hung up on these labels. We’ve only used them here to help you identify how they get placed in the container.
  • It looks like there are more plants in the picture than what is listed. Why?
    • Our program is limited to 13 plants (1 Thriller, 6 Fillers and 6 Spillers), so if the planter is large, we were unable to count all of the plants. In other words, the list of ingredients should include all of the plants, but the counts may be low.
  • What if I can’t find the specific variety of the plant?
    • Lots of the plants come in many different varieties and the selection will vary from nursery to nursery. If you can’t find the one in the picture, look for something similar. Be sure to check the size and sun exposure of anything you substitute.
  • What size plants should I buy?
    • This depends on your nursery and at which point of the season you are shopping. If you can wait until late spring to buy your plants, you may be able to get by with fewer plants as the plants should be bigger. Likewise, if you buy at the beginning of the season, the plants may be very small so you may want to use more so your pot doesn’t look empty. You can always leave space and let the plants fill in (IF you have the patience for that !)
  • How do I know which sun exposure I have?
    • The best thing to do is to place your pot in the location that it’s going to be and take a look at it throughout the day.
  • What if I can’t find the plants in same colors as are in the photo?
    • Actually, this will happen more often than not. In this case, you should select colors that appeal to you.
  • Are all of the containers planted by Container Creations?
    • Almost all of them were created by us! However, we did add a few done by others that we found on Pinterest and thought would be a nice addition to the App. Those combinations are labeled and can be found on our Pinterest page on the board “Pins added to App” for the source and credit.
